Ukrainian girls in Norway. Dating and Marriage Russian women and men from Norway
During the last decade the number of Russian and Ukrainian people who move to Norway for permanent residence is growing steadily. Today there are more than 8000 immigrants from Russia. The greatest number of former Russian citizens live in large cities such as Oslo, Trondheim, Bergen and Stavanger, in each of which there is a Russian-speaking community. According to statistics, 80% of immigrants are Russian women married to citizens of Norway. Among them are the invited experts in various fields of science and knowledge, which acquired a citizenship.
The general attitude to the Russian and Ukrainian women are positive, there are special programs for their adaptation (language and professional courses). According to surveys, about 80% of the Norwegian population has a positive attitude toward international marriages believing that they enrich the culture of their country.
Why are girls and young women from Russia and Ukraine eager to marry a man from Norway?
At first it's the men themselves. Norwegian men are considered the best husbands. Scientists at Oxford University recently conducted a study of how men relate to gender roles, housework and childcare. The study involved 12 countries. Women participating in the survey believe the Norwegians are more attractive and so they are more likely to acquire a family.
Secondly, Norway is a great environment for raising children. It has very low crime, free health care and education, and the government is focused on the opportunities for children. Family is very important in Norway. They do not have large families, as in other countries, but the parents and the children are usually very close.
There is another side of the coin. Norwegian men are also very interested in finding girls for marriage and family of Russia and Ukraine. Why? In northern Norway, there is an acute shortage of the female population. And single men are forced to look for wives in other countries, primarily in neighboring Russia.
